The Upper Valley Apple Corps

The Upper Valley Apple Corps is a volunteer initiative to plant and care for fruit trees in accessible spaces in the hope that these trees will provide their fruits for the community to enjoy.  The resulting fruit trees that have been committed to the public commons will serve as visual reminders of the ways that our community must adapt to the economic, energy and environmental uncertainties of the 21st Century. By dedicating these trees to the community, Apple Corps volunteers are responding to a belief that we are returning to a time where our communities’ real strength will be expressed in terms of self sufficiency and mutual support.

Anyone willing to plant, care for, fund, or host a tree are warmly encouraged to join the Corps by registering online at As has been true throughout human history, tomorrow’s harvest must be planted today.
